Large OTR Curing Chambers Upgraded — 4 to 24-Tire Capacity per Chamber
In response to strong demand from the off-the-road (OTR) retreading market, YTON has upgraded its large curing chamber line, with standard capacities from 4 up to 24 tires per chamber so plants of any size can choose the right fit and scale up over time.
Curing is the step most sensitive to temperature and pressure in cold retreading. Industry practice shows the cushion gum must cure at around 115°C, held to about ±1°C, under stable pressure; once these fluctuate, separation and blistering easily follow. The upgraded chambers refine insulation, sealing, and temperature-pressure control for more uniform heat and steadier pressure (control precision to about ±0.1–0.5 kg), giving more reliable results on large OTR casings.
OTR tires are high in unit value and long in casing life, making them one of the most rewarding categories to retread — a large OTR retread typically costs only 30–50% of a new tire, while the casing can be retreaded several times to multiply its service life. Paired with chamber rails and tire racks, several chambers form a continuous load-and-unload curing station that clearly improves throughput.
